Well, I'm KIND OF a Farmer...
Although my chickens are alive and healthy, my garden... well... let's just say my garden is probably a more accurate reflection of my farming ability.
On one hand, my zucchini blooms beautifully:
On the other hand, my lima beans have been eaten so badly that they look like green swiss cheese:

This year is a bad year for bean-eating bugs....at least in my area. You can still salvage your beans though. Most folks I know use Sevin dust to prevent bugs...other folks spray on water+vegetable oil+dish soap. If you google homemade pesticide you should be able to find a good recipe.
