Finding Time For Fitness

I've always kind of hated physical activity.

When I was in college, I'd DRIVE four blocks to the local Mexican restaurant and eat a big ol' burrito with a side of cheese fries.

That sentence pretty much sums up my lifelong attitude toward food and exercise.

But as I've gotten older (though not much wiser), I've come to see the importance of being fit. Aside from the obvious health benefits, it definitely is a good thing in shit+fan situations. A healthy level of fitness would allow me to do the physical labor necessary to get through any disaster, bug out on foot with my kids, reduce my odds of needing medication that might be difficult to obtain, or simply boost my odds of surviving.

Unfortunately, my general malaise plus my natural inclination to being sedentary has left me pretty much a lazy lump ever since I got pregnant with R (more than a year ago).

I've been trying to think of ways to work exercise into my schedule, but it just isn't happening. Exercising while caring for two young kids is almost impossible.

I know I have to find the motivation inside myself, but I can't seem to find it.

I swear, if there were a Mexican restaurant four blocks away, my lazy ass would still be driving to it.
